Neuroimaging Core
The Neuroimaging Core (NIC) supports the Houston collaborative effort by providing advanced, multimodal brain imaging to better understand, stage, and track Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. By integrating MRI and PET with clinical, biomarker, and neuropathological data, the Core delivers a comprehensive view of disease biology, including the role of sex-specific factors in shaping its development and progression. Through close collaboration with partnering groups and the use of cutting-edge imaging approaches, the NIC generates high-quality, harmonized data that enable accurate diagnosis, drive translational discovery, and facilitate data sharing across sites.
