Community-Based Screening and Research Access

January 29, 2026

What this project does
Brings eligibility screening and selected research activities into trusted community locations.

Why it matters clinically
Many individuals who could benefit from early evaluation or research participation never reach specialty clinics. Community-based access improves equity and earlier engagement.

Key activities
-Conduct eligibility screening in community centers and service hubs
-Coordinate with the Clinical and Biomarker Cores to collect assessments and samples in community settings
-Deploy trained mobile teams to deliver standardized, participant-centered evaluations
-Select outreach locations using census data, needs assessments, and community feedback

What will be delivered
-Increased research access in non-clinical settings
-Improved enrollment of underrepresented participants

Who this helps
-Community members with limited access to specialty care
-Clinical Core recruitment efforts
-Investigators seeking representative cohorts
