Tissue Distribution and Investigator Research Support
What this project does
Provides timely, equitable access to biofluids and tissue samples for ADRC investigators locally and nationally.
Why it matters clinically
Broad tissue access accelerates discovery and enables studies that directly inform diagnosis, progression, and treatment.
Key activities
-Review and fulfill tissue and biofluid requests through the ADToMe system
-Track tissue usage and availability in collaboration with the DMSC
-Support studies using both archived and prospectively collected samples
-Provide specialized histologic analyses, including quantification of: neuroinflammation, vascular pathology, tau, α-synuclein, and TDP-43 pathology
What will be delivered
-Distributed tissue and biofluid samples with linked clinical data
-Histologic data supporting mechanistic and translational studies
Who this helps
-ADRC investigators and trainees
-External researchers studying ADRD mechanisms
