Recruitment and Development of Early-Stage ADRD Investigators

What this project does
Identifies, recruits, and supports promising junior faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and research associates who are new to AD/ADRD research.

Why it matters clinically
The growing dementia burden requires a larger, better-trained workforce capable of translating discoveries into patient care.

Key activities
-Recruit investigators from diverse clinical, translational, and social science backgrounds
-Prioritize candidates committed to AD/ADRD research and sex-based science

Support two trainee groups:
-REC Participants (broad educational exposure)
-REC Mentees (intensive two-year training)

What will be delivered
-A diverse cohort of trained early-stage investigators
-Expanded local and national ADRD research capacity
